Kingdom Hall Settings

Super admins can configure Kingdom Hall-wide settings that affect all congregations using PubCounter.

  1. Sign in as a super admin
  2. Go to AdminKingdom Hall Settings
  3. Configure the options below

To change the access key (e.g., for security):

  1. Go to Kingdom Hall Settings
  2. Find the Access Key section
  3. Click “Generate New Key” or enter a custom key
  4. Save changes
  5. Distribute the new key to congregation members
  1. Go to Kingdom Hall Settings → Congregations
  2. Click “Add Congregation”
  3. Enter the congregation name
  4. Select available languages
  5. Assign a primary admin (optional)
  6. Save

For each congregation, you can:

  • Change the name
  • Add or remove available languages
  • Assign admins
  • View user count
  1. Go to the congregation’s settings
  2. Click “Remove Congregation”
  3. Confirm the removal

Configure which languages are available for publications:

  1. Go to Kingdom Hall Settings → Languages
  2. Check languages your congregations use
  3. Save changes

Available languages affect:

  • Which publication editions are shown
  • User language permission options
  • Report generation options

The primary language is:

  • The default for new users
  • Used when no specific language is selected
  • Typically the most common language in your area

Enable Discord notifications for your Kingdom Hall:

  1. Create a Discord webhook in your server
  2. Copy the webhook URL
  3. Go to Kingdom Hall Settings → Integrations
  4. Paste the webhook URL
  5. Save

Notifications include:

  • New reorder requests
  • Order status changes
  • Request approvals/rejections

To enable Pubmate for JW Hub submissions:

  1. Contact Pubmate.io for subscription
  2. Obtain your Pubmate API credentials
  3. Go to Kingdom Hall Settings → Integrations
  4. Enter Pubmate URL and enable the integration
  5. Save

Only existing super admins can create new super admins:

  1. Go to Users in your congregation
  2. Find the user to promote
  3. Edit their role to “Super Admin”
  4. Confirm the change

Super admins manage the publication catalog:

  1. Go to Admin → Publications
  2. Click “Add Publication”
  3. Enter:
    • JW ID (base ID, no language suffix)
    • Name
    • Category
    • Cover image URL (optional)
  4. Select available languages
  5. Save

Publications have language-specific editions:

  • Edition IDs are auto-generated: {jw_id}-{language_code}
  • Each edition can have separate calibration data
  • Add/remove language editions as needed
  1. Find the publication
  2. Click “Delete”
  3. Confirm deletion

For record-keeping, you can:

  1. Generate reports for all periods
  2. Export JSON data for backup
  3. Download Excel reports for archiving

PubCounter retains:

  • All historical inventory counts
  • All user activity logs
  • All report generations
  • Verify you have super admin role
  • Try logging out and back in
  • Contact another super admin
  • Check internet connection
  • Ensure required fields are filled
  • Try refreshing the page
  • Verify the access key is correct
  • Check congregation is properly configured
  • Ensure languages are set up
